France, exceptional ormolu mantel clock in the Louis XVI style, featuring floral, gilt edged porcelain panels in the base, two ladies and a gent in the park below dial, and and the porcelain panel dial with winged cherubs in the clouds, and with good pendule a Paris movement, the case with profuse ormolu trimmings -- acanthus swags and ribbons, surmounted by an oval urn, c1840
